Toddler dance classes from ages 18 months to 2 years old assisted by a parent/guardian.
Dancers older than 5 years of age with 0-1 year of dance experience.
Dancers who have had more than 4 years of dance experience after the age of 5.
Dancers that are between 3-5 years of age.
Dancers who have had a minimum of 2 years of dance experience after the age of 5.
Dancers who have had more than 9 years of dance experience after the age of 5. Those with years of competitive training.
Dancers over the age of 18. Classes broken down to novice (0-1 year), junior (2-4 years), and intermediate/advanced (4+ years).
Our preschool program caters to the individual as we understand littles learn through different methods. Some succeed to a more structured format while others grow through play. Although we cannot offer every type of teaching style our instructors are mindful of each individual within a group and lesson plan according to.
Competitive - Littles who feel prepared to go on stage multiple times a year can inquire about our preschool competition program. Pre- Requisite: foundations class or private/semi-private technique class.
Recreational - Our classes introduce little dancers to basic technique, rhythm and an understanding of body coordination. We aim to develop their self confidence in a fun and safe environment that encourages their personalities to shine.
Ballet introduces dancers to fundamentals that supplement their training in other dance styles. This style of dance offers a level of discipline and grace in a dancer's strength, flexibility and performance.
Competitive - Competitive ballet dancers will be trained in both the Vaganova Method and RAD giving them an extensive understanding of classical ballet. Competitive routines can vary from classical, character, and or contemporary ballet. Pre- Requisite: foundations class or private/semi-private technique class.
Recreational - Our recreational ballet program will also be following a syllabus using the Vaganova Method and RAD. Our classes are formatted to harness a love for ballet while building a strong understanding of technique through barre, centre and across the floor exercises.
Jazz is a high energy form of dance that incorporates ballet technique with stylized moves often to upbeat or popular music.
Competitive - Dancers will be trained based on the ADAPT jazz syllabus and given challenging but fun routines that they will enjoy competing with. Pre - Requisite: foundations class or private/semi-private technique class.
Recreational - Dancers will be introduced to the ADAPT jazz syllabus through barre, centre and across the floor exercises. Routines will incorporate fun adaptations of technique learned in class.
Dancers will be introduced to a variety of hip hop styles to broaden ones understanding of hip hop as a culture as well as a dance style. Classes will showcase styles such as, but not limited to popping, locking, breaking, street and house.
Competitive - Routines will combine hip hop technique learned in class and highlight a hip hop style that best fits the group. There is no pre - requisite for competitive hip hop if it is the only genre a student will be competing in.
Recreational - Dancers will form a basic understanding of rhythm and texture. Classes will introduce different hip hop styles and the technique that follows.
Musical theatre combines acting with song and dance. Depending on the class students will be using their own voices or lip syncing with the music as they personify a character through dance.
Competitive - Musical theatre groups will be trained in a variety of different dance genres, incorporating lip syncing and acting. Routines will often have mixed ages/levels for competition. Pre - Requisite: foundations class or private/semi-private technique class.
Recreational - Classes will be formatted to focus primarily on dance and acting but have some elements of vocal training. Students will learn the joy in embodying a character in their routines and develop their performance quality,
Lyrical challenges dancers to use the lyrics of a song and express its meaning through dance. Foundations in jazz and ballet compliments and fosters strong lyrical technique.
Competitive - Teachers will use music students can appropriately relate to in order for dancers to build a stronger emotional connection to their routines. Pre - Requisite: foundations class or private/semi-private technique class.
Recreational - Classes will build on a dancer's technique, musicality, and their ability to connect with music.
Modern and Contemporary goes beyond an understanding of basic technique and both builds and breaks a dancer's previous knowledge of structured dance. Our studio will explore the history of Modern roots with both Graham and Cunningham technique.
Competitive - Dancers will be taught from a modern syllabus highlighting both the Graham technique and Cunningham technique. Routines will reflect either free movement or a centralized theme. Pre - Requisite: foundations class or private/semi-private technique class.
Recreational - Dancers will be challenged to build and break fundamentals they have acquired over their dancing careers.
Foundation classes will focus on technique, conditioning, strength-based training along with fundamentals such as kicks, turns, and leaps. Classes will be split into levels and is required for ALL competitive dancers. (An exception is made if your dancer is ONLY in competitive Hip Hop)
